Student Services Technician; Short Term

Position: Student Services Technician (Short Term)
The Student Services Technician provides a high level of customer service to students and community members by administering a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments at the Rio Salado College Tempe Testing Center. This position adheres to strict policies and procedures for online test administration and provides technical support to customers and team members.

Essential Functions

70% - Administers a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments to students and community members using various online systems and software while providing a high-level of direct customer service; serves as the official test proctor, adhering to strict policies and procedures to ensure exam integrity. Maintains confidential testing records, databases, exams, and reports while collaborating effectively within a team environment;

supports the Student Services Specialist in maintaining a secure, professional, and appropriate testing environment

20% - Assists with technical troubleshooting and provides technical support to students, candidates, part-time staff, and team members; communicates effectively with faculty, other departments, and external organizations regarding testing issues using various communication methods; prepares and maintains correspondence, appointments, and reports related to Testing; provides general clerical support, including answering phones and voicemails, assisting with management of the Testing Center email and calendar, and greeting/directing student and community traffic;

responsible for closing and successfully completing assigned closing duties at the RSC Tempe Testing Center each evening

10% - May assist with training and supporting other Testing Technicians; ensures accurate receipt and processing of payments; travels to other locations as needed for coverage and training; may occasionally grade assessments and assist with virtual proctoring; performs other duties as assigned
