Talascend is currently seeking a Buyer for a contract opportunity located in Tempe, AZ.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services essential to our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier management, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize cost savings.
• Manage purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timeliness and quality.
• Conduct market research to inform sourcing strategies and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define purchasing requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records.
• Resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Understanding of supply chain and procurement practices.
• Familiarity with vendor evaluation and sourcing strategies.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or a related field.
• Budget management and cost analysis expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with suppliers like Honeywell or similar organizations.
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
