Senior Field Technician

Full‑time senior level construction materials field testing technician. This position requires a minimum of three to five years of construction materials testing experience.

Experience must include field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, other construction materials, and mix design processes in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and State procedures.

Other responsibilities will include documenting test results and assisting project managers and engineers with assignments.

• Testing and inspection of construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt, for quality control / quality assurance in a laboratory setting as well as on construction job sites
• Discussion of test results with client's on‑site representative
• Preparation of daily reports on project specific activities

• Strong communication and detailed writing skills
• Basic math and writing skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player
• Capable of working independently
• Availability to work irregular hours and on weekends

Good communication and organizational skills, computer skills, good math skills, clean driving record, and pass pre‑hire drug screening are required. Managing staff is a plus.

• Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to work
• Ability to stoop, kneel and to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds
• Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold if need
