Term Of EmploymentJanuary through June, including Sessions I and II and as needed for coordination prior to the start of Session I.
Salary Schedule Placement$7,162.00 Special Assignment Stipend (payable in equal portions through May)

Performance of this job will be done by the Summer Education Academy Coordinator, according to District policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Prior to the 1st Session- Assist in the development of a list of course offerings.
- Assist in the development of the student enrollment document.
- Assist in the development of program schedule to include in‑person finals.
- Coordinate exam schedules at a designated campus.
- Coordinate with the Plant Foreman on any special maintenance projects that may conflict with the program and work with the hosting school Principal.
- Participate in interviews of prospective faculty and staff.
- Post rosters, with class assignments, for students/parents/teachers online.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholder groups.
- Communicate regularly with the Alternative Education Program Manager and Summer Education Academy Administrative Team.
- Coordinate student and staff surveys.
- Coordinate supervision of students and staff before, during, and after Summer Education Academy.
- Coordinate teacher check‑out at the end of each session.
- Assist with student discipline and conduct.
- Assist with staff training and implementation of online learning.
- Assist with the District’s Human Resources department and the Coordinator of Summer Education Academy in the selection of personnel.
- Demonstrate ability to provide adequate and timely reports.
- Demonstrate instructional leadership.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current administrative procedures and practices.
- Master’s Degree.
- Arizona Secondary Principal Certificate.
- Successful classroom teaching experience.
- Knowledge of supervision and evaluation of personnel.
- Evidence of curricular planning.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Excellent memory and ability to function well under varying levels of stress.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Stays abreast of current trends and information relevant to the job.
- Basic computer and educational/office software knowledge.
- Proactively seeks and recommends alternative approaches and solutions.
- Effectively uses technology as a tool.
- Responds promptly to questions and requests; seeks assistance when appropriate.
- Assesses needs and recommends improvements for assigned site; actively continues education and memberships in professional organizations.

- Presents information and responds to questions from groups of employees, community members, and the general public.
- Calculates figures and amounts such as percentages, discounts, interest, proportions, area, circumference, and volume.
- Applies concepts of basic algebra and geometry to problem solving.
