Hourly Rate: $14.70 per hour
This is a part‑time, temporary position not eligible for benefits.
Job SummaryProvides in‑person, front‑line student support in a computer classroom/lab for diverse adult education students. Assists and guides students with log‑in support for learning platforms, email, technical troubleshooting, and related computer usage matters. May also perform related data entry functions using program databases and spreadsheets. Must demonstrate patience and the ability to develop a positive rapport with a diverse population of adult education students.
Also provides in‑person administrative and technical support for instructors.
- 50% – Supports students and instructors in a computer‑equipped classroom; resolves log‑in issues; guides student use on multiple learning platforms; maintains logs and data spreadsheets; troubleshoots equipment and software issues; supports student registration process.
- 25% – Collaborates with instructors, staff, and managers to support student success; provides appropriate hands‑on workshops as needed; monitors laptop checkout procedures and laptop inventory; reports technical issues; ensures secure storage of equipment.
- 25% – Assists with data entry and other related tasks in support of operations at the location.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology use, computer programs and software (e.g., MS Office, Google, databases, online learning platforms).
- Experience in customer service environment, demonstrating support and building positive rapport.
- Effective written communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish cooperative working relationships and work effectively on a team while performing assigned duties.
- Associate's degree.
- Prior experience in an educational environment assisting students and/or instructors with technology needs.
May be required to travel to various locations; may be required to work various hours and shifts.
