Job Description:The Paid Student Teacher is a temporary position. Incumbents serve as contributing staff members on an identified school learning team during their semester or yearlong university student teaching. They are expected to follow the certified teacher work calendar. The role involves various instructional responsibilities such as lesson planning, instruction, data analysis, grading, assisting with digital instruction, and non-instructional tasks. The student teacher develops expertise in instructional methods, contributes ideas for improvement, and collaborates with the school team to review student progress and adapt instruction to ensure high progress for every child.
The student teacher is accountable to the Mentor Teacher(s) for student learning outcomes, who also assist in evaluating performance.

Minimum Qualifications:- In good standing in a university teacher preparation program and eligible to begin student teaching.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and personal characteristics, including race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or economic status.
Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
