Kid Strong Overview

Kid Strong Te‑Mpe is a rapidly growing child development center that empowers parents to build stronger, smarter, and more confident kids. We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and cultivate future‑ready kids who thrive at school, the playground, and life.

Role and Schedule Details
  • Ideal coach has athletic or coaching experience and experience coaching children ages 12 months‑11 years.
  • Coaches focus on brain, physical, and character development using the evolving monthly curriculum.
  • Coaches must communicate the curriculum’s rationale to parents/guardians.
  • Classes run weekdays 9 am‑11 am and evenings until 7 pm; weekends 8 am‑lunch/noon.
  • Schedule flexibility depends on studio needs.
  • Private party coaching hours allow additional hours.
  • Pediatric OT/PT experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Coach 6‑15 children, ages 12 months‑11 years.
  • Deliver the Kid Strong curriculum per HQ programming team.
  • Ensure classes start and end on schedule and maintain appropriate pace.
  • Greet students and parent(s)/guardian(s) before class.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, professional demeanor.
  • Implement various exercises safely.
  • Keep center clean—lobby, bathrooms, floors—including trash, sweeping, mopping, wiping and sanitizing the mat.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide parent records.
  • Communicate professionally with co‑workers via Slack.
  • Complete required training through Fran Connect.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment—multiple miles, lifting equipment up to 25 lb.
  • Work hands‑on with kids to ensure proper technique and safety.
  • Assist parents with students three and younger as needed.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings for curriculum updates.
  • Attend mandatory meetings with the Kid Strong Director.
  • Manage special Academy classes during school breaks.
  • Obtain certified status from the HQ Training and Certification team.
Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Preferred prior experience coaching appropriate Kid Strong ages and educating parents.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
  • CPR certified.
  • Positive, motivating, effective interpersonal communication.
  • Self‑starter who gets the job done.
Compensation

$18.00‑$24.00 per hour.
