Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Tempe, AZ – Full-Time

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to special education students in a middle school resource setting. The teacher will work collaboratively with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to implement individualized programs, provide special instruction, and support student success.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement
• Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB screening and health clearance
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• No para support in the classroom
• No severe behaviors; students may be disruptive or disobedient
• Ideal candidate is positive, hands-on, and able to connect with students
