School Counselor - Summer Education Academy - FY 25-26

Remote Camp;
Marcos de Niza High School (final exam location)
Reports to:
Program Manager
Placement: $2,100 stipend per session
Dates:
March 23, 2026 - monitor all SEA registrations
Session 1:
June 1, 2026 - June 12, 2026
Session 2:
June 15, 2026 - June 26, 2026

While guiding and encouraging students to develop their educational potential. Current TUHSD teachers/certificated staff preferred; however, not required.

Training And Experience- Master s Degree.
- Special training in counseling and skills related to school settings preferred.
- Preparation may include special training in counseling and skills related to school settings. School counselors are prepared for their work through the study in interpersonal relationships and behavioral sciences in graduate education courses in accredited colleges and universities preferred.
- Personality human development theories and research, including career and life skills development
- Learning theories preferred.
- Multi-cultural and community awareness preferred.
- Educational environments preferred.
- Curriculum development preferred.
- Professional ethics preferred.
- Program planning, management and evaluation preferred.
- Application of current educational counseling technology preferred.
- Knowledge of Assessment preferred.
- Valid Arizona Department of Education School Counselor Certificate K-12
- Valid DPS fingerprint clearance card
