Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Water Treatment Project Engineer for our Arizona offices located in Tempe, Tucson, and Goodyear
. This role will support project engineering and management, and the development of water and potable reuse projects throughout Arizona, the Southwest and across the country. You will be a part of the Hazen Water and Reuse practice groups engaging, collaborating, and supporting water and reuse projects, and opportunities across the country as needed.

• Your role will include project engineering/management, design, planning, operational support with a focus on water treatment / reuse and drinking water projects.
• Mentor junior drinking water staff.
• Coordination and collaboration with clients.
• Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
• Supporting projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
• Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on small to medium projects.
• Performing planning, studies, design, and support of projects through design, construction, and operation.

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering.
• PE license.
• 5-12 years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology, or manufacturing.
• Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Proficient in all MS Office based computer software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Self‑starter with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people.

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
