Senior Telecommunications Engineer

Base Pay Range$/yr – $/yr
Responsibilities- Lead BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
- Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
- Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
- Sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
- Mentor other team members.
- Work with the lead engineer or department manager to identify processes that improve departmental efficiency.
- Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience designing or leading the design of Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
- Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and how it applies to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam.
- Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.
- Excellent project management skills.
- amiliarity with responding to RFP’s.
- Experience in providing quality assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others.
- Experience with startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
- Experienced in creating a budget for a project.
- Experienced in creating and maintaining a project schedule.
- Experienced in identifying and mitigating company risk.
- PE license; the ability to obtain multiple PE licenses is required.
- 4 years telecommunications design experience in data centers.
- Experience working on other low‑voltage systems (security, audio/visual, wireless).
- Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls and security systems.
- Thorough knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures.
- Credential as an RCDD.
