About Syenta
The demand for powerful computing is skyrocketing – driven by AI, data centers, and next‑generation electronics. Advanced packaging has emerged as the new battleground for increasing performance and efficiency, but existing manufacturing processes are expensive, slow and struggle to scale. Syenta is changing that.
Syenta is a rapidly growing startup rewriting semiconductor manufacturing with Localized Electrochemical Manufacturing (LEM). Founded in Australia, we are growing globally with the establishment of our Arizona based US entity. We are building a world‑class team of seasoned engineers and ambitious emerging talent to solve some of the toughest challenges in semiconductor manufacturing.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and forward‑thinking mechatronics engineer to be amongst our first hires in Arizona. In this role you will turn first‑principles designs into fab‑ready hardware that hits nanometer repeatability.
Ready to help redefine advanced manufacturing? Apply now!
The RoleThis role will be a blend of hardware fabrication and software design. As one of our first engineers on the ground, you will be responsible for contributions towards design and fabrication of Syenta’s LEM deposition tool and will work directly with our Australian team to bring LEM technology to the US. This is a hands‑on opportunity to contribute to the advancement of cutting‑edge technology while directly shaping how it is showcased to the world.
Dayto Day
- Hands‑on testing and troubleshooting – commission, calibrate, and debug mechatronic systems, sensors, and motion assemblies. Create HIL/bench rigs and collaborate to create statistical test plans to prove repeatability, reliability and report on performance.
- System understanding and improvement – analyze how sub‑systems interact (mechanical, electrical, control, vision) and evaluate these based on customer requirements. Help identify and customize the design solution based on trade‑offs in scope, performance or timeline and propose design or process improvements.
- Data‑driven validation – collect and analyze test data to quantify repeatability, reliability, and performance drift. Combine data with best practices to optimize complex or constrained hardware components to meet performance requirements.
- Design and build support – assist with CAD updates, prototype fabrication, wiring, and integration of hardware modules.
- Documentation and change control – maintain clear records of design revisions, test results, and issue tracking.
- Cross‑functional collaboration – work alongside senior engineers in mechanical, electronics, and software teams to implement upgrades and fixes.
We are seeking an energetic and ambitious person who is driven by a passion for technology and is not afraid of tackling problems with unknown solutions. The ideal candidate will have the foundational mechatronics experience required to deliver aggressive company goals along with a team mindset to learn and collaborate with the Sydney engineering team.
