Roadway Engineer, Entry Level

Come work with senior‑level professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry‑level Roadway Engineer to join our team in Phoenix.

• Participate in a variety of projects, including roadway, general engineering studies, preliminary scoping, and final design projects.
• Perform a range of assignments, including roadway engineering calculations, analysis, and design; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; transportation studies; and report writing.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and proactively learn new methods and techniques to solve complex engineering problems.
• Interact with clients and the public.

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program.
• EI or EIT registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0‑4 years of related transportation design or study experience.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Micro Station/Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD experience with design programs is preferred.
• Self‑motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools.
