As an Electrical Estimator, you will conduct accurate cost analyses with estimations for the organization. You will be responsible for preparing preliminary estimates for plan and spec projects as well as conceptual projects while assisting the division manager with direct cost reports. You may also help other estimators and project managers with pricing schedules, participate in proposal preparation, and perform technical assessments to facilitate analysis functions.

All tasks must follow project specifications and confidentiality rules.

Some of the main responsibilities in this role are listed below.

• Complete electrical estimates for all assigned Plan‑Spec and Design‑Build projects, emphasizing low‑cost installation methods.
• Fully read and comprehend Request for Proposals, plans, specifications, and design analysis reviews.
• Request, collect, and review necessary supplier and subcontractor BOM and quotes; evaluate qualifications and exclusions to select the best‑value price.
• Identify and resolve deviations from the proposal, including scope and specifications.
• Allocate sufficient time before the deadline for a thorough review of the estimate by self, peers, and supervisor.
• Assist the Division Manager with writing technical proposals and pre‑qualification packages.
• Make first contact with clients after bid submission and follow up to collect comparative analysis of our proposal.
• Assist Project Managers with project start‑up documentation, submittal packages, and supplier/sub‑contractor purchase orders.
• Continuously collect and review material costs to keep estimating platforms updated with best prices.
• Assist the Division Manager and supervisors in improving all estimating platforms.
• Update logs and meet regularly with supervisors to discuss challenges and opportunities.

• 5+ years of industry experience
• In‑depth knowledge of standard electrical estimating procedures
• NEC Knowledge
• Complete understanding of commercial and government specifications
• Fluent in reading blueprints
