Tooling Engineer

This position is a fixed-term contract projected to last 9 months. The position offers benefits, training, and full-time hours. A $1,000 bonus will be offered for 12 & 24 weeks for those that complete these milestone dates.

Injection mold tooling engineering position supportingprojectsincludingdesigning, receiving, and transferringofinjection molds,molding automation end of arm robot tooling, assembly automation,metrology fixtures, andvariousmanufacturing aids.

Responsible for purchasing,tracking and transferring injection moldsandother associated tooling required for plant manufacturing operation;assist withprojectinstallationand commissioning to improve/maximizesiteproduction, quality, profitability and safety from an equipment and tooling perspective.

Works closely with both internal and external customers and vendors.

Responsible for supporting the execution of engineering efforts fromconcepttoproduction for new products and continuous improvement initiatives within existing systems/platforms within thecustomerrequirements.

• Assistwithinjection moldtoolingandassociated injection molding automated system validation. Tasks include writing, reviewing and executing validation documentsandassisting with injection mold and injection molding equipment start-up and troubleshooting.

• Provide technical expertise on injection mold design and operationtothe
  
  Quality, Engineering and Productionteamsas required.

• Provide support for the installation of new injection molds,equipment and related automated systems;collaborate withother engineering team members to investigate tooling and process problems; make new product design/process recommendations as necessary.

• Communicate requirements with internal customers and suppliers such that project goals and customer’s needs are met or exceeded.

• Support a Lean Manufacturing environment within the facility

• Maintain injection moldand hot runnerdrawingsfor the Tool Room.

• Control the injection molddocumentationrevisionstatetomake surethatthe

  Controlqualitydocument control system reflects the correct version of thevendor’sand/or customer’sdrawings, 3D CAD, BOMand other related documentation.

Providetimelysupport forthecompletion ofqualityinvestigationsand project document update requests,including but not limited to, Issue Reviews, NCMR’s, CAPA’s andChange

Requests.
