OverviewThe Firm and Segment Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team provides the organization's financial insight capabilities by delivering high‑impact, consolidated management reporting (e.g. MBRs and QBRs) and providing strategic decision support to Business Segment Leaders (BSLs). In close partnership with BSLs, the team will drive the planning and forecasting of financial performance at both the segment and enterprise levels, ensuring alignment with the firm's economic balance objectives.
This Senior FP&A Analyst will partner with relevant stakeholders across the Segment, Finance, and other functional areas to:
- Deliver monthly segment financial reporting, including scorecards and segment P&Ls
- Produce forward‑looking plans and forecasts of segment financials
- Perform ad‑hoc analyses and support business cases for emerging segment strategies
- Manage segment budget, track spending, and support the segment through continuous planning
- Deliver impactful recommendations that inform segment strategy
- Lead, support, and enhance segment financial and metric reporting packages (in partnership with Management Reporting) to be shared with senior leadership on a recurring basis as part of existing performance cadences. Analyze and explain trends to facilitate discussions and support business decisions.>
Lead, support, and enhance the management of segment expense budget, leveraging data and insights to produce reporting, summaries, and recommendations to improve performance, manage trade‑offs, and prioritize investments in partnership with segment stakeholders. - Lead, improve, and perform ad hoc financial modeling and analyses to understand and articulate the financial impact of emerging business strategies. Manage multiple deliverables with multiple stakeholders simultaneously. Apply a wide variety of analytical techniques, visualizations, repeatable processes, peer reviews, and communication techniques to ensure a high quality and actionable output.
- Lead, improve, and deliver actionable analysis and recommendations that combine internal and external data and root cause analysis to improve performance, minimize risk, lower costs, improve investment decisions, and/or capitalize on new opportunities.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop and deliver KPIs, financial drivers, and dashboards that provide insights to improve performance and complement existing reporting infrastructure.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop forward‑looking plans and forecasts of segment financial results that integrate into existing enterprise planning and forecasting processes.
- Effectively communicate analysis recommendations to team, peers, and leaders. Package complex analysis materials into easily digestible materials, Power Points, and narratives with a clear story. Can simplify complex analysis artifacts for executive consumption and guide/teach teams to do the same.
