• Assist provider with exams (including vitals), procedures, and other direct patient care under the provider’s supervision.
• Administer all medications per policy and provider direction, adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws as directed by the provider.
• Collect urine samples for various tests, including employer drug screens.
• Perform splinting and casting.
• Conduct various types of physicals, such as sports physicals.
• Perform other urgent‑care duties such as ear lavage, wound care, and oxygen administration.
• Notify the provider of unusual patient occurrences and record incidents.
• Notify the clinic manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
• Follow laboratory and clinical accreditation policies.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR.
• Perform other duties as assigned or described by company policy.

As a Medical Assistant, you may also support front‑office reception. Duties include informing patients and families of wait times, monitoring patient flow, processing discharge charges, collecting payment, obtaining signatures, and issuing receipts.

The Medical Assistant supports the organization with customer service, treating all patients with respect and dignity, maintaining a smooth clinic flow, and providing medical services in the back‑office setting, meeting specific patient needs.

ARIZONA

• Education: Minimum high‑school diploma or equivalent; and an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program completed.
• OR an UNAPPROVED (non‑accredited) program AND a National Certification through one of the following:
  AAMA – Certified Medical Assistant (CMA);
  AMT – Registered Medical Assistant (RMA);
  NHA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
