Lead AI Architect

We are seeking an experienced Lead Architect with a strong background in SaaS systems and modern cloud platforms. In this position, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of platform architecture — from vision and design to implementation and iteration — across scalable, AI-driven software products. You will act as a bridge between engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure technical excellence, architectural consistency, and alignment with long-term product strategy.

This position is hybrid to our office in Tempe, Arizona.

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Extensive experience architecting and scaling SaaS platforms or large distributed systems
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes and managed cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proven ability to design high-performance, reliable systems that meet defined SLOs
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or generative AI systems
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering, product, and security functions
• Experience implementing testing and development standards across large codebases
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience in organizations building AI-powered or data-intensive products
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, observability, and scalability in multi-tenant SaaS environments
• Prior experience mentoring senior engineers and leading architecture initiatives across teams
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks or regulations related to AI and data security (e.g., EU AI Act)
