The OpportunityWe’re hiring an experienced Insurance Specialist to own and lead the insurance claims process from post-inspection through claim approval and job scope finalization. You’ll be the subject matter expert for Xactimate, claims documentation, and carrier negotiation— ensuring claims are processed efficiently, accurately, and profitably.
As an Insurance Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in building a high-performance claims operation that protects customer outcomes, drives revenue, aligns projects scope and reduces cycle time.
We’re looking for a claims professional with hands‑on Xactimate experience, restoration or construction claims background, and the ambition to grow into a leadership role in our restoration division.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Management & Processing
- Manage insurance claims from intake to closeout.
- Prepare, estimate, submit, and track claims using Xactimate.
- Coordinate supplements, approvals, and invoicing.
- Maintain organized, compliant, and complete claim files.
- Serve as primary liaison between insurance carriers, customers, and internal teams.
- Handle negotiations, follow‑ups, and dispute resolutions with carriers.
- Communicate proactively to manage expectations and timelines.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all claims meet regulatory, carrier, and contractual requirements.
- Track key deadlines, submission milestones, and follow‑up tasks.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation across systems.
- Collaborate with roofing specialists to finalize job scope and move claim to contracted project.
- Partner with project managers to align claims with production timelines.
- Drive collection efforts related to insurance claims.
- Report on claims performance, closure rates, cycle times, and financial impact.
- Contribute to building scalable claims systems, processes, and reporting.
- 3+ years of insurance claims experience in roofing, restoration, or construction.
- Proven hands‑on experience with Xactimate for claims estimating.
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims process, documentation, and negotiation. .
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in claims management or CRM systems.
- Xactimate Level 2 Certification or mastery.
- Experience managing claims for commercial projects or large‑loss restoration.
- Existing relationships or insights into major carriers’ processes.
- Bilingual (Spanish a plus).
- $80,000 - $120,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE).
- Base salary + performance bonuses tied to claims cycle time, closure rates, and financial outcomes.
- Quarterly + annual performance bonuses.
