Material Handler

Overview

Talascend is currently seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Tempe, Arizona
.

The role involves handling the loading and unloading of materials within a warehouse or storage facility, operating equipment, managing inventory, processing returns, and ensuring equipment maintenance.

• Handle the loading and unloading of materials within the warehouse or storage facility.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move materials to and from aircraft, trucks, trains, and within the storage area.
• Verify incoming deliveries, label products, and maintain an updated inventory record.
• Process returns by completing necessary documentation and communication.
• Ensure material handling equipment is well‑maintained through regular inspections.
• Work with internal departments to locate missing packages, correct delivery errors, and replace damaged products.

• Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a related position (0-2 years)

• Frequent heavy lifting requires physical strength and coordination.
• Sort and manage inventories accurately.
• Count and measure quantities precisely.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration.
• Be precise in labeling, inventory tracking, and handling procedures.
