Machine Operator Specialist

We are hiring immediately for a Machine Operator position operating 3–4 days a week across four 12‑hour shifts.

• 2nd Shift: Mon – Wed (plus Thursdays during peak season), 4 pm – 4 am (+$1/hr shift differential)
• 3rd Shift: Fri – Sun (plus Thursdays during peak season), 4 am – 4 pm (+$1/hr shift differential)
• 4th Shift: Fri – Sun (plus Thursdays during peak season), 4 pm – 4 am (+$2/hr shift differential)

• Operate and maintain advanced equipment such as digital presses, bindery equipment, HP Indigo, Xerox iGen, Lasermax, UV Coaters, and other specialized machinery.
• Perform advanced maintenance, routine and preventive maintenance, including intricate troubleshooting to uphold quality standards.
• Proactively address issues and, when necessary, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate and communicate with supervisors, technical support, and team members to ensure seamless operations.
• Serve as equipment owner, providing technical support, performing pit stops, and conducting preventative maintenance unassisted.
• Mentor and train machine operators to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Escalate critical equipment issues and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to develop solutions.
• Operate bindery, finishing, and other production equipment; fill in for lead operators as needed.
• Participate in the Safety Committee to promote workplace safety standards.
• Implement best practices and develop operational procedures to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
• Ensure safety and comply with OSHA standards and company security policies.

• 7+ years of experience operating high‑speed machinery in high‑volume, repetitive manufacturing.
• In‑depth knowledge of digital printing and bindery processes.
• Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues with minimal downtime; ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, plus document routine preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with pneumatics, mechanical systems, PLC, A/C DC drives, multimeter basics, basic electricity & electronics, and Lock Out Tag Out.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical, procedure‑oriented approach.
• Quality‑mindful and customer‑focused, able to match subtle color differences.
• Physical stamina: stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lb, and perform repetitive actions. Willingness to work across various production departments.
