Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Overview

Join Refresco’s production team as a Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift. You will help keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly, ensuring high safety and quality standards while contributing to our vision of placing our beverages on every table worldwide.

Essential Job Functions
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, GMPs, and wear required PPE in warehouse or production areas.
  • Maintain food quality and safety per corporate and customer standards (e.g., SQF).
  • Report FSMS issues to management and initiate corrective actions.
  • Perform repair, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
  • Maintain supporting equipment such as glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication, and chemical distribution systems.
  • Use innovative thinking to minimize downtime, ensure food safety, product quality, and personnel safety.
  • Document and retrieve final approvals on all work orders, recording part numbers for inventory.
  • Communicate relevant maintenance and production information between shifts.
  • Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate with production during periods of downtime.
  • Collaborate with adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvements.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of GMPs and food safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
  • Work independently without supervision.
  • Good decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must hold and maintain a forklift certification.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Schedule:

    Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight as required; overtime scheduled as needed.
  • Environment:
    Fast‑paced production plant with moving parts, high noise levels, high temperatures; hearing protection required.
Travel Requirements
  • Minimal travel for training as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs (minimum 5 lbs).
  • Carry weight, lift.
  • Walk.
  • Drive.
  • Climb stairs/ladders or maintain balance.
  • Visual/sensory:
    Attentive to details with one or two senses at a time.
  • Coordination and dexterity:
    Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Mental stress:
    Pressure from deadlines, production quotas, and accuracy demands.
