Summary of Role:

The Filler Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring milk filling equipment to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality and sanitation standards. This role plays a critical part in producing safe, high-quality milk products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate filler equipment on production lines according to standard operating procedures.
• Conduct pre-operational equipment checks and complete start-up documentation.
• Monitor weights, caps, codes, and seals to ensure product meets specifications.
• Changeover equipment between product runs, ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Record production data, downtime, and quality checks accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance, QA, and other team members regarding equipment performance or quality concerns.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas per GMP and plant sanitation standards.
• Perform routine checks for leaks, seal integrity, and overall machine functionality.
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts if trained and certified.
• Work effectively and independently during 2nd shift (start time varies, typically 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM or until production is complete).
• Participate in cross-training and support other areas as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or dairy plant preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate work instructions in English.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in cold, wet, and humid environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and product quality.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
• Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and E-Verify.
