Full Time Tempe, AZ, US

About the Company

Tube Specialties, Inc. (TSI) fabricates complete tube assemblies for the aircraft and aerospace industry, from complex manifolds to bent assemblies. We are AS9100 certified, based on ISO
9001 quality system requirements. Our parts go into space, commercial, and military applications, including fighter jets, ground support vehicles, and the SM-3 anti-ballistic missile system. TSI is proud to support our customers who support our military with game-changing technology and hardware.

TSI was founded in 1973 in Tempe, Arizona, by our current owner and president. We now run two shifts and employ over 100 people. We're located about five minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

About the Role

As a Machinist on our team, you'll turn raw stock into precision parts that meet exact specifications. You'll work from blueprints and job orders to plan each job, set up and operate mills, lathes, and grinders, and verify your work with precision measuring instruments. Depending on your background, you may run both manual and CNC equipment, build or modify parts to repair shop machinery, and help keep our equipment in top running condition.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, takes pride in quality, and wants to keep building their skills.

What You’ll Do
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and job orders to determine materials, tooling, and operation sequences
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, and grinders to produce parts to tight tolerances
  • Select cutting tools and set speeds, feeds, and depths of cut
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators to verify they meet specs
  • Adjust machines and change tools to keep dimensions within tolerance
  • Position, secure, and align work pieces and fixtures using hand tools, hoists, and fasteners
  • Sharpen and replace cutting tools as needed
  • Enter and edit CNC programs, fabricate or modify parts for machine repair, and help maintain shop equipment as your experience allows
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical school training
  • Machining experience preferred; we welcome candidates from recent vocational graduates to experienced machinists
  • CNC and tool room experience is a plus
  • Solid shop math skills, including fractions, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
  • Able to stand for 6–8 hours and lift 40–50 lbs
What We Offer
  • Stable, full-time position in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Opportunity to play a key role in meeting customer demand and production commitments
  • Paid sick leave and paid vacation

* This is an on‑site position. We are currently unable to offer relocation assistance.
