Marketing Communications Vice President
Lead Amkor's marketing communications strategy as our Marketing Communications Vice President! Direct a talented creative team while driving campaigns that showcase breakthrough semiconductor technologies to global markets. You'll lead a marketing and communications team including graphic designers, digital marketing, translation experts, and tradeshow specialists, as well as external agency partnerships while developing strategies that position Amkor at the forefront of advanced packaging innovation.
This position is based at Amkor's corporate headquarters in Tempe, AZ. This role combines strategic vision and team management while developing and executing integrated strategies that enhance our brand reputation, drive business growth, and position the company as an industry leader in a fast‑paced, innovative‑driven market. You'll be the strategic visionary leading campaigns that drive market share in one of tech's most dynamic industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing integrated strategies that align with corporate objectives, leading and mentoring a high‑performing team across marketing and digital engagement, collaborating with internal communications, public relations, and overseeing impactful product launches and industry events. This role drives consistent brand positioning and messaging across all channels, manages relationships with media and key stakeholders to enhance visibility, collaborates with executive leadership and sales teams to support go‑to‑market and revenue growth initiatives, monitors market trends and emerging technologies for strategic advantage, manages budgets and measures ROI for optimal resource allocation, and ensures compliance with industry regulations in all communications and marketing activities.
Additional duties & responsibilities:
- Develop and lead comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor and manage a high‑performing team across marketing and digital engagement functions.
- Oversee the development of data‑driven marketing strategies and budget proposals based on market research. Analyze campaign performance and optimization based on ROI metrics.
- Direct product launch marketing campaigns, industry events, and trade shows to maximize market impact and customer engagement.
- Drive brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all channels including digital, print and experiential platforms.
- Provide oversight and engagement of relationships with media, industry analysts and key stakeholders to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
- Support lead staff with public and investor relations activities and social media channels, including page layout / design, content generation and refresh, postings and analytics / traffic results.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, sales, and product teams to support go‑to‑market strategies and revenue growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with Investor Relations, Public Relations, Product Marketing and Internal Communications organizations to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision‑making and maintain competitive advantage.
- Oversee selection, contract negotiation and management of external agencies, freelancers, vendors and service providers, including performance evaluation and contract negotiation.
- Oversee marketing budget, measuring ROI, and optimizing resource allocation for maximum effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
- Oversee quality assurance processes and approval workflows.
- Other projects as directed by management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related discipline is required (with coursework in English preferred).
