The Quality Engineer applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to the organization. The take a primary role in ensuring compliance within the organization to both internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality control systems and inspection criteria
- Analyze product specifications and customer requirements
- Conducts audits to verify compliance with quality standards
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and nonconformances
- Lead corrective and preventative action (CPAR) process
- Monitor statistical process control data to identify trends in performance metrics
- Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and supplier teams to ensure quality throughout the organization
- Investigating and addressing customer complaints regarding quality
- Identifying areas for quality improvement and proposing solutions
- Ensuring compliance with legal, industry, and organizational standards and regulations
- Initiating and leading quality improvement projects and teams
- Documenting quality assurance activities and prepare reports for management
- US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or other related field
- Recommended ASQ, CQE, CQA and/or Six Sigma certifications
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals both internal and external.
- Strong attention to detail, detail oriented.
