Proof Bread is an all‑sourdough bakery and flour mill making long‑fermented breads and pastries from stone‑milled heritage grains. Our products were recognized at the World Bread Awards 2025 (Silver + Runner‑Up). Our Tempe café is our newest location, and we are looking for team members who are excited to learn our brand deeply and help introduce Proof to an entirely new audience.

Tempe is also home to our company‑wide food prep hub, supporting all Proof Bread locations with high‑quality scratch preparations.

Coffee plays a major role here. We proudly serve Press Coffee and are building significant traction with a growing coffee community. If you love great coffee, great food, and representing a craft brand, this role blends hospitality, beverage craft, and culinary production.

• Craft espresso and tea beverages with care and consistency
• Represent Proof’s values and help guests understand our breads, pastries, and coffee partnership with Press
• Maintain a clean and organized retail floor, bar area, and pastry case
• Execute daily food preparation for all Proof locations, including pizza toppings, fillings, spreads, and scratch preparations
• Support new menu initiatives such as toast offerings, grab‑and‑go items, compound butters, scratch syrups, and other value‑add products produced in Tempe
• Restock pastries, breads, ingredients, and FOH supplies
• Contribute to a smooth daily workflow and a positive team environment

Our Tempe café is open 7am–7pm. Shifts may start as early as 5am and run as late as 8pm.

• At least 1 year of barista experience (espresso proficiency preferred)
• OR experience in a prep kitchen / culinary environment — or excitement to learn both
• Passion for great food, great coffee, and artisan craft
• Friendly, reliable, and comfortable engaging with guests
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced setting
• Detail‑oriented with pride in quality, consistency, and cleanliness
• Team‑oriented and open to learning new skills
• Able to lift 30–40 lbs and stand for long periods

• $18–$21/hr including pooled tips
• Part‑time and full‑time roles available
