Cook Oyster Bar

Overview

King's Fish House is hiring an Oyster Bar Cook. The oyster bar is the heart of our culinary experience. You will interact with guests in the main dining room and prepare raw bar dishes, working with seasonal, pristine, fresh product daily. You are the ambassador for all seafood and share your knowledge with guests who dine at the oyster bar.

• Interact with Guests at the Oyster Bar and service guests at the bar.
• Prepare necessary food items for meal periods and next service.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the station and service areas.
• Cook for scheduled meal periods.
• Complete opening/closing duties as assigned.
• Remove soiled wares from the station and transport to the dishwashing area.
• Follow Manager’s instructions and maintenance/cleaning schedules.
• Alert Kitchen Manager or Executive Kitchen Manager to any deficiencies or safety hazards.

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Any previous culinary training; high school graduate, some college.
• Current CA Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English with Guests, management, and co-workers.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques to prepare restaurant menu items.
• Knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, temperature, garnish and presentation.
• Knowledge of correct maintenance and use of food serving and preparation equipment.
