About Us
At Adaptive Plant Health Solutions, we focus on saving trees, conserving water, and enhancing landscapes across Arizona through science‑based plant health care. Our work is rooted in diagnostics, soil biology, and responsible treatment strategies designed specifically for desert environments.
We don’t sell products — we identify problems, prescribe solutions, and deliver results.
Position Overview
The Consulting Arborist – Diagnosis & Prescription Lead serves as Adaptive’s primary diagnostic and advisory authority while also playing an active role in business development. In addition to evaluating tree and landscape health and developing treatment prescriptions, this role is expected to cultivate new client relationships and expand Adaptive’s presence through professional outreach and relationship‑building.
This is a consultative role where growth is driven by expertise, credibility, and trust — not high‑pressure sales tactics.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform professional tree and landscape health evaluations
• Diagnose biotic and abiotic stress factors, including soil issues, irrigation issues, pests, disease, and environmental stress
• Develop detailed, site‑specific treatment prescriptions and long‑term care plans
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Actively pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, site walks, and professional relationships
• Build and maintain a personal book of business alongside company‑provided leads
• Collaborate with PHC Field Technicians and Crew Leaders to ensure accurate execution of prescriptions
• Review treatment outcomes and refine programs based on plant response
• Maintain accurate documentation, including reports, proposals, and follow‑ups
• Represent Adaptive at industry events, HOA meetings, and community outreach opportunities
Qualifications
• ISA Certified Arborist or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months
• Degree in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of desert tree species, soil biology, and plant health care
• Ability to diagnose complex plant health issues and communicate solutions effectively
• Comfortable initiating conversations and building professional relationships
• Arizona resident with familiarity with local tree and shrub species
• Comfortable working outdoors in desert conditions
Why Join Adaptive?
• Competitive compensation: $50,000–$85,000 base salary + performance‑based commission (DOE)
• Health insurance after 90 days
• Ongoing professional development and certification support
• Opportunity to build a long‑term personal book of business
• Work alongside a highly skilled, science‑driven PHC team
• Be part of Arizona’s shift toward smarter, water‑conscious landscape management
• Company vehicle provided upon successful completion of required training and onboarding milestones
Adaptive Philosophy
• Diagnose first. Prescribe with intent. Execute precisely. Measured results.
