We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Service HVAC Technician with extensive hands‑on experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing complex commercial HVAC systems. This role requires a self‑motivated professional who can independently manage service calls, troubleshoot advanced system issues, and deliver high‑quality workmanship in commercial environments.
Primary ResponsibilitiesIndependently diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VAV systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and exhaust systems.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
Execute preventative maintenance programs, identify potential failures, and recommend corrective actions.
Read, interpret, and apply schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and sequence‑of‑operation documents.
Test, calibrate, and adjust HVAC controls, sensors, and safety devices.
Respond to service calls efficiently, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively in the field.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions, repair needs, and preventative recommendations.
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Complete accurate service documentation, work orders, and reports using mobile or written systems.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in professional working condition.
Collaborate with dispatch, management, and other technicians when needed to resolve complex system issues.
Participate in on‑call rotation as required.
Required Qualifications5–10 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
Proven ability to work independently on complex commercial systems.
Strong understanding of HVAC electrical systems, controls, and refrigeration cycles.
EPA Universal Certification (required).
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills.
Preferred QualificationsHVAC trade school or technical certification.
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
OSHA certification.
Chiller and boiler service experience.
