The Electrical Wireman 3-4 installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards and company safety requirements. This role performs advanced installation and troubleshooting with limited to no supervision, works independently on assigned tasks, and supports project planning and field execution. Candidates should have strong electrical knowledge, proficiency with tools and equipment, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Wireman 3/4 team members may lead tasks and mentor junior wiremen to support crew development and project success.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Use various tools and equipment, such as power tools and testing devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and assist in diagnosing problems.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.
- Communicate issues, risks, or additional tasks to supervisors or licensed electricians.
- Maintain clean and organized work spaces, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate safety gear during work.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of electrical construction or apprentice experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and installation methods.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work under the supervision of experienced electricians.
- Must possess apprentice tools as specified by the company.
- Basic math skills required for measuring, layout, and calculating electrical loads.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional attitude on job sites.
Pay Range: $24- $32 per Hour
