Job Description

The Framing & Trim Carpenter plays a vital role in residential construction projects, specializing in framing structures and installing trim work such as cabinets, doors, and windows. This position involves working within a small team of 2-5 people and requires regular travel to various job sites. The carpenter uses a combination of manual and power tools to measure, cut, and install materials with precision and care.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing and trim installation following project specifications
• Measure and cut materials accurately to fit project requirements
• Handle and manage construction materials efficiently
• Maintain and operate both manual and power tools safely
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for layout and installation
• Prepare job sites by arranging materials and setting up equipment
• Install cabinets, doors, windows, drywall, and insulation as needed
• Collaborate within a small team to complete residential projects

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of framing and/or carpentry experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in carpentry techniques and woodworking
• Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting layouts
• Strong measuring and layout abilities
• Experience in tool operation and maintenance
• Excellent attention to detail and physical stamina
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Problem-solving aptitude on site
