.Net Developer - ONSITE Charlotte OR SAN Antonio

Job Description

One of our large retail clients is looking for an .Net Developer to join their team. This individual will be focusing on a Scan Data application. This is a custom-built, web- and service-based system designed for a large retail client to manage nicotine and tobacco sales data. The application collects detailed sales transactions from retail locations, transforms and organizes the data, and securely transmits it to major tobacco vendors.

This process enables the client to claim refunds and incentives from vendors based on accurate sales reporting. The system is highly complex, tailored to the client’s unique business rules, and plays a critical role in their financial operations.

• Collaborate with a small, agile team to design, build, and maintain the Scan Data application.
• Develop new features and modules for the app, focusing on both web and service layers using C#/.NET.
• Integrate and optimize data flows that process sales transactions and prepare data for vendor refunds.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure quality and alignment with business goals.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing code, especially as the role shifts to include enhancements and maintenance (eventually 50% new dev, 50% enhancements).
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance in all aspects of the application.
• Document code, processes, and system changes for team knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Stay up to date with .NET best practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

• Must be comfortable going onsite 5 days per week
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a C#/.NET Developer.
• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• Proven experience integrating and working with APIs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
