A rapidly growing technology-driven organization is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) to join their engineering team in Tempe, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, customer-facing applications while helping drive the design and development of modern cloud-native platforms.
This role offers a fast-moving environment, strong technical ownership, and the chance to contribute to the architecture and delivery of highly scalable backend systems supporting a nationwide business.
What You'll Be Doing- Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable cloud-native microservices
- Build and enhance REST APIs and distributed backend services
- Develop solutions using AWS cloud technologies, serverless architectures, and containerized environments
- Partner with architects and engineering leaders on system design, platform modernization, and technical strategy
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Dev Ops best practices
- Evaluate emerging technologies and participate in proof-of-concept initiatives
- Collaborate across engineering teams to develop reusable components and drive technical excellence
- 6+ years of software engineering experience building scalable web applications and APIs
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and Type Script
- Expertise designing and building microservices architectures
- Experience with AWS, including cloud-native and serverless technologies
- Strong experience with MongoDB, SQL, and No
SQL databases - Experience with CI/CD tools, containers, Docker, and modern development practices
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- React or React Native experience
- GraphQL experience
- Base salary up to $140,000
- 10% annual bonus
