CNC Mill Operator

Due to our continued growth, Phoenix Mold and Engineering is actively seeking a CNC Boring Mill Operator for its operations in Temperance, MI.

PME is a locally owned and operated mold making and machining company, who specializes in the Aerospace, Automotive, and Agriculture industries. We have parts on the road, in the air, and in the fields!

• Operate Large CNC horizontal mill with rotary table and Fanuc control.
• Take precise measurements for job setup and cutting tools.
• Work to shop/customer blueprint specifications as provided.
• Manually program machine for simple operations.
• Make appropriate tooling and fixturing offsets to compliment changing conditions.
• Produce parts to tolerances of +- 0.001”
• Identifies need for and performs basic machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Education and Experience

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years related experience.
• Vertical and/or horizontal CNC machines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Read calipers, inside/outside micrometer, depth micrometer, and indicators.
• Must have machinist tools.
• Work with minimal supervision to independently complete projects.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adjust speeds and feeds for efficient cutting.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics; trigonometry, speed and feed formulas, Etc.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
• SMC compression mold experience a plus
