Job Details Responsibilities

Overseeing job costing activities, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and resources.

Maintaining the general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation.

Preparing, reviewing, and distributing monthly financial reports to management and stakeholders.

Managing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing feedback to management.

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

Participating in the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors, and addressing any issues raised.

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.

Proficiency in job costing, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and AP/AR management.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CPA certification is highly desirable but not essential.
