About the Position
Therapeutic Medical Physicist, Ph.D., at Baylor Scott & White Health, Division of Medical Physics, Department of Radiation Oncology.
This full‑time position supports clinical operations across four Central Texas clinics (Temple, Killeen, Waco, College Station) with hybrid remote/on‑site duties.
Responsibilities- Perform, evaluate, and manage regular QA testing of treatment‑related machines (linear accelerators, brachytherapy, CT, treatment planning systems).
- Perform and supervise radiation treatments that require a therapeutic medical physicist to be present.
- Perform, supervise, and evaluate computer‑aided planning/calculations for external beam and brachytherapy treatments.
- Perform and evaluate patient‑related dosimetric measurements to assess treatment quality.
- Provide consultation to radiation oncologists, clinical staff, and patients when requested.
- Participate in acceptance and commissioning of new treatment modalities.
- Assist in state and federal compliance of the department.

- PhD in Medical Physics or related field required.
- Licensed as a Medical Physicist in the State of Texas.
