Housekeeper

Holiday Inn Express is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas while ensuring all hotel cleanliness and brand standards are met. This position plays a key role in providing an exceptional guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, mirrors, sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Restock guest room supplies and amenities.
• Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms and designated areas.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to management.
• Clean hallways, elevators, lobbies, and other public areas as assigned.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hotel policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly service to guests when needed.
• Ensure rooms are completed efficiently and ready for guest arrivals.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or hotel experience preferred but not required (3 years).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete assigned rooms within designated time frames.
• Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools.
