Transportation Supervisor I – H‑E‑B

Join the H‑E‑B team as a Transportation Supervisor I and help keep our 12.1 million‑square‑foot warehousing and shipping network moving across Texas and Mexico.

• Spend the majority of time using independent judgment to make employment‑related business decisions or to recommend such decisions (e.g., hiring, promoting, disciplining, resolving partner‑related matters).
• Provide daily supervision and support for an assigned group of hourly partners; maintain an environment where partners trust and respect the leader and work together to accomplish goals.
• Engage with partners daily, clearly explaining roles, expectations, and performance measurements for each critical component that impacts business outcomes.
• Operate a team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations; track, monitor, and resolve complaints; ensure service recovery; identify trends; provide feedback.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators for daily and weekly team performance; measure against goals; get team buy‑in; provide feedback.
• Monitor and adjust labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs while meeting daily facility performance expectations.
• Takes an active role in partner development; provide learning and growth opportunities; address performance that does not meet expectations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, pest‑free, and well‑organized facility; comply with established SOPs; document measures through SOPs in compliance with OSHA and H‑E‑B guidelines.
• Recognize partner achievements.

• Bachelor's degree or 1+ years of related experience.
• Experience in presentations a plus.
• Successful completion of Leadership & Development classes as assigned.

• Advanced knowledge of operations of department programs.
• Working knowledge of the industry and related EEOC and employment laws.
• Strong organization and time‑management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and project‑management skills.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
• Intermediate skills in internal and external software and systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; strong attention to detail.

• Function in a fast‑paced distribution center and office environment.
• Travel by car or plane with overnight stays.
• Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in multiple temperature zones.
• Safely maneuver facility in compliance with OSHA regulations.
