Maintenance Mechanic – Temple, TX

This role supports production by maintaining plant equipment, performing mechanical repairs, and ensuring equipment reliability.

• Maintain operating departments and process support equipment.
• Use troubleshooting and mechanical skills to perform repairs, align motors, change bearings, tension belts, and maintain pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Log data in computer systems, use SAP/CMMS, and communicate via email, Word, Excel.
• Execute machine changeovers, stay on lines until product flow is consistent.
• Follow repair guidance from technical team and adhere to safety practices.
• Work overtime, rotating 12‑hour shifts, and handle holiday shutdown/startup.
• Collaborate with all teams and customers to resolve mechanical issues.

• 3‑5 years of mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in plant maintenance safety, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearing installations, gearboxes, belts, pulleys, chains, bolt sizes, hand tools, oil and vibration analysis.
• Strong computer skills: quick retrieval of manuals, Excel, SAP/CMMS, email.
• Excellent communication, teaching ability, and organization.
• Proven record of responding to equipment stoppages and operating shop equipment or powered vehicles.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating 12‑hour shifts, and holiday shutdown/startup.
