Aseptic Operator II (VTIS)
As an Aseptic Production Operator II, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of aseptic manufacturing processes and equipment. You will focus on the Aseptic Block Equipment (Blow molder, Filler, and peripheral devices) and play a crucial role in maintaining sterile conditions and producing high‑quality beverage products. As a senior production team member, you will also provide guidance, training, and support to junior operators.
Key Responsibilities- Execute aseptic manufacturing processes in accordance with SOPs and cGMP, including the preparation, setup, operation, and monitoring of aseptic blowing/filling, cleaning, and sterilizing equipment. Knowledge of chemicals used in the block equipment and their critical interactions (GHS & SDS) is required.
- Maintain overall knowledge of aseptic production concepts such as microbiology and pH, low‑acid and high‑acid products, and causes of sterility loss.
- Monitor all equipment Critical Control Points (CCP) using the HMI to ensure final product sterility. Identify and address potential contamination risks and work with supervisors and quality/maintenance teams to mitigate them.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Aseptic Block Equipment—filling and blow molding machines, sterilizers, and filtration systems. Detect equipment malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjust machine controls promptly.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance—cleaning, inspecting, lubricating (CIL) the equipment—under Maintenance Technician supervision.
- Follow quality control procedures for in‑process checks, sampling, and inspections. Perform visual inspections, measurements, and quality control tests, and take corrective actions for deviations or defects.
- Accurately document all production activities in logs, machine reports, quality reports, and downtime reports using Presage and Infinity, adhering to cGMP and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe workplace by following LOTO, PPE, housekeeping, and safety training. Report any safety incidents or hazards to the supervisor.
- Comply with Niagara’s cost control, yield, and employee safety policies and the Food Safety Plan for aseptic beverage production.
- Work independently in multiple production areas; perform relief duties when required.
- Use computer systems such as Oracle/MES or the current order management system.
- Understand line flow, possible bottlenecks, and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
- Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; 12‑hour rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
