Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center is seeking a full‑time Charge Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). The city is the #1 location in the nation for nursing opportunities and advancement. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636‑bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Schedule: Full Time – 36 hours per week.

• Post ICU trauma patients (serious traumatic injury to two or more body systems)
• Complex plastic reconstructive surgeries (incl. reconstructive flaps and graft sites, post‑cancer reconstruction, and trauma‑related reconstruction)
• Complex ENT patients including free muscle flaps and neck dissections
• Complex ENT reconstructive tracheostomies and laryngectomies
• Traumatic complex fractures and musculoskeletal wounds
• Elective joint replacements – Rapid Recovery Program
• Sports injuries
• Spinal deformities
• Complicated pelvic, hip, and compression fractures
• Skeletal malformations and abnormalities
• Amputations and prosthesis
• Neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery
• Medical/surgical patients including those requiring telemetry

• Graduate of the RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Active RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer

• Education – Graduate of an accredited program
• Major – Nursing
• Experience – 2 years of experience
