Overview

Five Below is seeking a seasonal Sales Associate to join our Temple store. This role focuses on delivering a fun, high-energy shopping experience and supporting store goals through customer service, promotions, and teamwork.

• Greet and assist customers promptly; approach and acknowledge customers and provide help while handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns by using product knowledge to offer alternatives and aiming to convert returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals by collaborating to achieve store objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions in a courteous and professional manner
• Basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

• Frequently operate the cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5–10 feet high
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on the sales floor
• Communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers in person or by phone; exchange accurate information
• Move across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve/stock merchandise
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts or travel
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for extended periods as required
