As one of the nation’s largest providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, we are expanding our team and seeking a Remote Electrical Service Technician to join the NAC team.
The Remote Electrical Service Technician will perform terminal and electrical service, repair, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks across various facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing wiring circuits, lighting and system controls, computerized motor controls, programmable controllers, and related electrical equipment. The technician will also identify and procure parts for maintenance and repairs following established procedures. The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, and committed to maintaining our high standards of quality and service.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
- Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to plan wiring and equipment placement, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before finishing walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Design layouts and install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specifications.
- Plan installations to minimize material waste, facilitate future maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and circuits using testing devices to ensure safety and compatibility.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, roofs, or aerial equipment to install, maintain, or repair electrical components, demonstrating knowledge of tools and safety protocols.
- Adhere to government and local regulations, ordinances, and safety guidelines.
- At least 5 years of experience in lighting or electrical maintenance.
- Journeyman’s license, completion of a four-year apprenticeship, or a Master’s license.
- Ability to pass drug and background screening.
- Eligibility to drive a company vehicle, including a valid driver’s license.
