Canyon Creek Behavioral Health will open in Fall 2020 and serve the behavioral health needs of adolescents and adults in Temple, Texas and the surrounding Central Texas area, providing treatment options for individuals struggling with psychiatric health, chemical dependency and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, maintenance, and clinical teams to ensure menu consistency and food safety.
- Assist with basic inventory and inventory control of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment and follow all food safety regulations.
- Support the organization’s patient care initiatives through timely and accurate meal service.
- Patients, families, direct-care service providers, external funding sources, accreditation and licensing agencies, other staff, and the community.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- At least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking (preferred); basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; possession of a food service food handler’s permit.
- Experience with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Completion of Food Handler Certification (required).
- Flexible hours; shifts may vary during opening.
