Senior Department Activity Assistant
Join the Senior Department ARC Program at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. This part‑time role (less than 25 hours per week) is seeking an employee to assist older adults with cognitive impairments.
Responsibilities- Supervise groups of seniors with cognitive impairments for safety.
- Create and execute therapeutic programs.
- Assist in planning daily schedules and day‑to‑day activities.
- Accept input and recommendations from staff and adapt programs to the group’s capabilities.
- Minimum of 2 years working with seniors with cognitive impairments preferred.
- Experience leading group activities is preferred.
- Comfortable with technology, especially iPads.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Background check, fingerprinting and child‑abuse record check required.
- Salary below $25,000.
- Position: part time, less than 25 hours per week.
