Job Summary The Vice President of Digital is a senior, client-facing position responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts while overseeing Eidolon Communications’ digital team and capabilities. This role is highly hands‑on and combines day‑to‑day client service, digital strategy, campaign development, performance analysis, and team supervision.
The VP of Digital works directly with clients to understand their goals, develop effective digital fundraising and engagement strategies, and ensure campaigns are executed successfully across channels. The ideal candidate is an experienced digital practitioner who enjoys working closely with clients, solving problems, analyzing results, and helping a team deliver strong work.
Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, serving as a senior day‑to‑day contact and strategic digital advisor.
• Develop and oversee integrated digital fundraising, acquisition, cultivation, retention, and engagement strategies aligned with client goals.
• Lead client planning and performance discussions, translating campaign data and results into clear insights, recommendations, and opportunities for growth.
• Develop annual and campaign‑level digital plans, budgets, testing strategies, KPIs, and optimization approaches across email, paid media, social media, lead generation, websites, and other digital channels.
• Collaborate with account, creative, production, and other teams to ensure digital programs are strategically sound, integrated, and executed accurately and on time.
• Lead and develop members of the digital team, providing direction, prioritizing workloads, reviewing deliverables, and supporting professional growth.
• Establish and strengthen digital processes, standards, and best practices while serving as a resource for client, campaign, and technical problem‑solving.
• Stay current on digital fundraising trends, platforms, tools, privacy requirements, AI applications, and emerging opportunities, applying relevant developments to client and agency strategy.
• Support agency growth by contributing digital strategy, scopes, budgets, and staffing recommendations to new business efforts; identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships; and strengthening integrated direct response and fundraising programs across Eidolon.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of digital marketing or fundraising experience, in an agency or nonprofit environment.
• Significant experience managing client relationships and multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of digital fundraising, email marketing, paid media, social media, lead generation, audience segmentation, testing, analytics, and conversion optimization.
• Experience supervising and developing digital staff.
• Ability to interpret data and translate results into practical recommendations for clients.
• Excellent client service, communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills.
• Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day work.
