Translate product requirements into technical specifications; build, test, deploy, monitor, and optimize services to meet scalability, reliability, security, and performance targets. Specific responsibilities include:

  • System Architecture and Requirements (30%):
Define end-to-end software architecture for image recognition systems; develop functional requirements, interface specifications, and non-functional requirements including scalability, reliability, security, and observability; document architecture decisions and review designs with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Computer Vision Pipeline Engineering (25%):
Design, implement, and review computer vision pipelines for detection, segmentation, and tracking; implement image preprocessing and postprocessing logic; define test datasets and acceptance metrics; test, benchmark, and tune pipeline performance under production constraints including noise, distortions, latency, throughput, and accuracy.
  • Integration, Performance, and Reliability (20%):
Integrate ingestion services, compute components, model serving endpoints, and downstream applications; conduct performance profiling and optimization across CPU and GPU workloads; implement monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and fault tolerance; troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deploy corrective fixes.
  • Technical Leadership and Engineering Standards (15%):
Drive architecture and engineering governance through design and code reviews; establish and maintain standards for automated testing, continuous integration, deployment quality gates, code review workflows, and static analysis; develop and maintain reusable libraries and documentation; provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on an as‑needed basis. Role does not include personnel management and has no direct reports.
