Duty Officer - Tenby Leisure Centre

Salary: Grade 6 – £28,142 – £31,022

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire the daily operations team, ensuring every customer enjoys a safe, welcoming, and high‑quality experience.
  • Actively monitor staffing levels, arranging cover when needed, and managing rotas efficiently.
  • Be visible and approachable throughout the facility to check standards, support staff, and address issues promptly.
  • Handle customer enquiries that require managerial input, ensuring a positive resolution.
  • Work closely with the Sites Manager to address maintenance needs.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times.
  • Serve as the main key holder, including opening/closing duties and emergency callouts.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Confident, people‑focused leader with proven ability to motivate, guide, and support teams.
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction and creating memorable experiences.
  • Experience in the leisure industry, ideally at Duty Officer or Supervisor level.
  • Holds or willing to train for NPLQ and Pool Plant Operators qualifications.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends (one in four), and bank holidays.
  • Willing to relocate to, or already living in, the area.
