Shop Volunteer; Stock Assistant

Your local British Red Cross shop needs help with daily operations. As a Stock Assistant you’ll support the shop team by checking donated items for quality, preparing them for sale or recycling, restocking the floor, and handling basic tasks such as iron, clean, label and price items. The role is ideal for volunteers who would like to make a difference from behind the scenes.

We need a few hours a week, on a flexible basis. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours – we only ask that you agree on realistic times that you can commit to and keep us informed if those times change.

• Checking the quality of donated items and preparing them for sale or recycling
• Replenishing stock on the shop floor
• Ironing, cleaning, labelling and helping to price items ready for sale
• General shop activities as required

No experience is required – full training will be provided. You will not be expected to use a till or computer.
